The third part of our project was looking at the markings used by fishermen to find shoals. Before sonars, the shoals'
were found by lining up elements of the island's landscape along two crossing lines, triangulating the position.
Hundreds of shoals are remembered by local fishermen, most of them unrecorded and only passed down by oral knowledge.
